A recent Tampa transplant, Byron Magbee brings to the Bay Area songs and themes collected from living in and traveling the Gulf South and the west coast. Byron grew up among the myriad beaches lakes, rivers, marinas, and dock-side hangouts between Florida and Louisiana, which are home to a fun, easy-going lifestyle and social atmosphere. This inspired Byron to pick up a guitar, a set of congas, a shaker or anything to be part of the soundtrack to the endless summer party there.

An early love of music, training in orchestral music in high school and college gradually shifted to learning the guitar, bass, percussion and even a bit of keyboards, creating melodies and lyrics and playing in rock bands. To Byron, this was the way to enjoy and share with others the music and the outgoing friendliness of the people along the Gulf coast Tampa Bay.
